Processing of Personal Data
Information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (2016-679/EU)
DuoBox Legal AB is the data controller for the personal data concerning contact persons at DuoBox Legal AB that is received in connection with an assignment or otherwise processed when the assignment is prepared or managed. You are not obliged to provide personal data to DuoBox Legal AB, but without doing so, DuoBox Legal AB cannot accept an assignment as it would not be able to carry out the necessary conflict-of-interest and anti-money laundering checks.
DuoBox Legal AB processes personal data to perform conflict-of-interest and, where applicable, anti-money laundering checks, to safeguard your interests, and for accounting and invoicing purposes. This personal data is processed based on the necessity to fulfill the agreement with the client or to comply with a legal obligation.
The personal data may also be used for business and method development, market analysis, statistics, and risk management. The personal data processed for the purpose of developing and analyzing the business is based on DuoBox Legal AB’s legitimate interest in developing the business and communicating with our contacts.
DuoBox Legal AB will not disclose personal data to third parties except in the cases where (i) it has been specifically agreed between DuoBox Legal AB and you, (ii) when it is necessary to protect your rights within the scope of a particular assignment, (iii) if it is necessary to comply with a statutory obligation or comply with a decision by an authority or a court, or (iv) in the case that we engage external service providers to perform tasks on our behalf. The data may be disclosed to courts, authorities, opposing parties, and opposing party representatives if it is necessary to protect your rights.
Personal data is retained for a period of ten years from the date the case is completed, or the longer period required by the nature of the case. Data processed for the purpose of developing, analyzing, and marketing DuoBox Legal AB’s business is retained for a period of two years after the last contact. If you unsubscribe from newsletters or similar, the data will be immediately deleted.
You have the right to request, free of charge, information from DuoBox Legal AB regarding the use of personal data relating to you. Upon your request or on our own initiative, we will correct or delete any inaccurate data or restrict the processing of such data. You also have the right to request that your data not be processed for direct marketing purposes. You are also entitled to receive your personal data in a machine-readable format. If you are dissatisfied with our processing, you may file a complaint with a supervisory authority, which in Sweden is the Swedish Data Protection Authority (www.imy.se). You may also contact the supervisory authority in the country where you reside or work.
